UNLIMITED MILEAGE
Most of the Car Rentals Companies offers cars with unlimited mileage, except in some luxury cars (Platinum Car Rental).
Check what is included in the rates (at the time of reserve your car), some car rentals at Cancun Airport will charge you the car rental airport tax, license fee and service charges.
Avoid this charges renting with companies located outside of Cancun Airport, they provide efficient shuttle transportation to their office (in and out).

INSURANCES
Car rentals at Cancun Airport offer basic rates (with unlimited mileage included, you can get the protection and coverage you feel, you should or need).
If you have an accident no one from the credit card company will give you the assistance or help you to handle any inconvenience. They only REFUND any charge or expensive made to your credit card as consequence of a car accident. You will need in any case to have enough credit in your credit card to avoid future inconveniences. Be sure the Car Rental Company issued to you all legal papers for your refund.
In most of Car Rental Companies Liability (ALI) is mandatory. Some local companies offer rates with CDW, TP, ALI, PAI, Collision Damage, Theft protection, Liability are included. A few Car Rentals offer insurances packages with 0% deductible = 100% protection (EPC). It is very convenient in case of accident (if there is no violation in the car rental agreement).
